I think the show was scripted, but at the same time, she agreed to be on the show knowing that. I believe she went on to promote her band, just as most of the other girls wanted more exposure for modeling, reality shows, ect. She may be a sweet person IRL, but she chose to play the part, so she's going to get backlash.
