  • in scoring the fight I have it

19-19, Hill the first and Hearns the second.

  • Hill was very fast here and Tommy took away that speed and out speed him and blocked a lot of Hills punches. To me he shut Hill down offensively Also Hearns, event though he was coming up, was the bigger fighter, harder puncher and had a better jab on this night. Considering the loses Hearns had and how he looked in some of his fights, this was truly an amazing feat. Once A guy like Roy Jones lost, he never showed the ability to recover like Hearns did. Granted Jones was older.

  • lol@ 2:40...the announcer says, "Mike Tyson is a reader, which most people don't understand"....gee that's real PC

  • tommy hearnes was one of the greatest welter weights that ever laced up the gloves, and with multi titles in differant weight classes made him one of the greatest fighters of all time...........................and being from the State of Michigan, following in the footsteps of the Great **Joe Louis** and **Sugar Ray Robinson** the standards of him being a great fighter was high, because Michigan is Boxing..........................

  • @PeekaPeep too true, another match graham missed out on was against the excellent mike mccallum, ended in a draw i think

  • People don't give Tommy's left hook enough credit. He could throw an awesome left hook off his all time great jab too, and his hand speed was absolutely absurd.

  • HEARN WILL NOT LAST 2 ROUNDS AGAINT ME.

  • Hill reminds me of Herol Graham in that he had everything going for him except a true KO punch. Unfortunately for the latter, he never held a world title (though he came VERY close in that Jackson match).

  • Hill was an excellent tactician and had very fast feet. If he had had a powerful punch, like the one Hearns had, he had been an all time great.

  • 2 great champions.
