A dual checking account with the man in control. Conclusion: The man is in control of the relationship. Ergo, not an equal partnership.

Man + Woman
Man buys something, it's theirs.
Woman buys something, it's hers.
Tim pretty much did no wrong here.
-
jill dont have room to call tim a hypocrite, shes the biggest hypocrite
-
So? I can still comment on the characters and their behavior, you got a problem with that? As if I have to ask.

@GrimMisanthrope pssst. i got somethin to tell ya.................IT'S A FUCKING SHOW.

Basically everything she ever complained about in an episode, she's done some time herself. Mouthy, annoying, drama queen.. hit me with those coasters and I'd kick that ass out.
-
And she has the nerve to call Tim a hypocrite.. god what a cunt.
-
jills such a hypocrite, she said ive previous episodes that they should have an equal relationship yet she goes behind tims back

I guess I am the only one who really understands the royal pain in the butt it truly is to swap out an oil pan on a 55 Chevy with the engine still in the car.
Its probably a waste of my time to mention this, since this is a fictitious show, but Jill is being a hypocrite by isolating her checking account. I also wanted to say, that Jill (and people like her) is so superficial. Even though Tim is far from perfect (everyone is), he is no sluggard. He has given his family) a very good standard of living (comparatively), and he also possesses impressive skills; in the garage, around the house, etc. Jill seems to blatantly disrespect and not appreciate him.
