  • @noelcreilly Many thanks.

A Cantonese lady I dance with is a Mezzo who sings Chinese opera, which i have come to like. Tonight I was swimming in a Scottish loch and she sang on the bank- it was a unique experience! I had lost this from my "favourites list, and your reply helped me find it- I showed her it before we went out and she copied down the lyrics (in Chinese characters) that a chap in HK had very kindly sent me. She'' sing it for me soon!

Best wishes to you, George in Scotland, UK

  • @Jigaboo123456 Tsai Chin (Cai Qin) singing Actually you don't understand my heart. Written (and performed) by Tong An Ge, a fellow Taiwanese. Many version on Youtube but this is the best version by far - the woman's mezzo soprano voice and pace is perfect for the song.

  • 輕柔的歌聲中~蘊含著十足的穿透力~讚!

  • This is beautiful. Who is the lady singing?

    Piano accompaniment also superb.

  • @kittensmallcat Totally agreed, this is beautiful. I would be very grateful if you could post a further translation of the lyrics here, as a very special Cantonese lady and I danced a waltz to this in much happier times before the weight of our respective cultures and other issues forced us to part,. We always knew we would have to part one day, but this was "our" song when the sun shone upon us. We knew each other's hearts. When we danced it was a fusion of our bodies and our spirits.
