Andy Fuchs demos's the new Fuchs 4-Aces 4-watt 2-channel guitar amp. It features a great 2-knob digital reverb with decay and level controls, gain boost on clean and dirty channels, bass-middle-treble controls, two gain controls (clean and dirt side), an overdrive tone control, as well as a passive loop, 4-8-16-ohm outputs, using 2-6SN7 octal preamp tubes as power tubes. It can be run at 2-watts if you remove one power tube. 3 x 12AX7 tubes. Retail is $ 1295.00 in standard colors. Custom grille cloth and tolex are available at extra cost.
The cabinet is a Buzz Feiten designed 212 vintage style with Eminence Texas Heat speakers in it. It's a "controlled resonance design" which allows the box to vibrate in a controlled way, like a good acoustic guitar, to bring 412 tone to a 212 sized , very light enclosure. Retail is $ 895.00 in standard colors. Other colors of tolex and griille cloth available as are different speakers from Celestion, Warehouse, Weber, or others at an upcharge.
US made 5-year warranty.
I would suggest a pedal (distortion or overdrive) or adding an attenuator (Brake-Lite, Air-Brake, THD Hotplate) after the amp, or both.
