City of Lynwood - Protectors of the All America City

This video was submitted for the All-America City Media Awards. It's a creative approach describing the City of Lynwood's three most collaborative projects: Advance Surveillance Protection Program, A Brush With Kindness, and the Lynwood Sports Association.

Video Concept:

Superhero, Mr. Lynwood, teams up with the Sheriff, A Brush With Kindness, and the Lynwood Sports Association to stop city's most evil villains: Dr. Crime, Imperial Blight, and Pirate No-Sports.

All-America City Finalist Summary:

On April 6, 2010, the National Civic League announced the finalists for the 2010 All-America City Awards, the nation's oldest and most prestigious civic recognition award. The City of Lynwood was named one of the 27 All-America City Finalists! To become a finalist, each participant completed an application documenting the community projects that address their communities' most pressing challenges. The City submitted an application showcasing the use of advanced surveillance cameras for combating crimes, Brush with Kindness for assisting low income homeowners to fix their homes, and Lynwood's Sports Association programs for providing recreational opportunities to Lynwood youth. To win the coveted All-America City award, the finalists will compete in Kansas City by telling their stories of positive community change to a jury of civic experts.

Winning the All-America City Awards comes with a renewed civic spirit and pride plus a significant local, state and national attention that are a proven boost for recruitment of industry, jobs and investments to communities.
