Wish Upon A Star || Fanmade Trailer

This is my entry for the 2nd challenge of the SoYouThinkYouCanVid competition, "Persuasive". In this challenge, we had to create a video in the form of a trailer/promo to promote a show or movie and persuade people to watch it.

I had a hard time choosing what fandom I would do. At first, I wanted to do a movie but the real trailer included all the ideas/voiceovers I wanted to use so, I decided to do it on a TV show... but then, I was missing too many episodes and my download limit for the month was almost up... then I was depressed and working a looot XD I tried to find something else and I randomly found a link to this movie! I just knew I had to make THAT one haha! "Wish Upon A Star" is one of my absolute favorite movies ever since I was 9-10 years old :D

So now onto the concept of the video. I made it in the form of a trailer... but not the kind of trailer you see at the movies, it's more the kind of trailer that is made for movies that are released on DVD, you know, the ones you can watch at the beginning of your DVD before the menu for the actual movie begins... yeah XD Hope you got what I mean LOL!

I decided to focus the trailer on the Wheaton sisters, the wish and how they deal with it. I didn't want to put all the funny scenes/quotes because I think it's pretty annoying when you watch a trailer and they give everything away... it's like "why would I even bother watch the movie now?!" lol!

It was one of Katherine Heigl's first roles and since she got more famous in the latest years, I thought it would be a really cool way to start off the trailer. I really like that idea, hopefully you will too XD
By the way, Katherine was pretty much the reason why I started watching Grey's Anatomy! When I saw the promo for the show, I was like "OMG IT'S ALEXIA WHEATON" lol!

Damn seriously, making a trailer is SO hard! Just choosing the perfect songs takes foreverrrr and the important quotes and matching everything together... let's just say it was definitly challenging since it's the first time I ever did something like that! But now that it's done, I have to admit that I'm pretty proud of myself and I really like how it turned out! I hope you'll enjoy it too and mostly, I hope it persuades you to watch this movie haha!

I'm very happy I chose to make this challenge on a fun movie because I figured people would mostly focus on "drama", not that I don't like that, I totally adore dramaaa but I thought it would be nice to do something more unexpected :p And as I wrote in my SYTYCV description (which you can read on the website btw lol), I'll never vid the same fandom as long as I'm in the competition so that way, people cannot predict what I'll do, which makes it more fun mwahahaha! Okay I know, I'm crazayyyy XD!

great job on this. i loved watching this movie when i was younger. you brouht me back to my childhood =D its so funny though cause 1:44-1:52 doesnt pass on the Disney Channel version lol
