My dad had a 89 Ranger XLT with the 2.9 V6 and long bed. He bought it used in 2000. That thing lasted over 200,000 miles with the original engine. Too bad the first owner didn´t take more care of this truck, otherwise it should´ve lasted more before a rebuilt engine. After the rebuilt engine it was like new , ir ran like a champ and I learned to drive a stick shift in it. It had some power to do good burnouts.
