Essra sings her own backgrounds on this song and pays homage to both love and the Berlin Wall. Interestingly, both require strength and can easily tumble. This is the first song she ever wrote on a mandolin and photos are of the Berlin Wall. https://www.facebook.com/ESSRAMOHAWK.FanPage
Multi-talented Mohawk wrote "Change of Heart" for Cyndi Lauper and Tina Turner's "Stronger Than The Wind" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm1G1p3dtn4 She was in Frank Zappa's band at 19 and recorded the classic PRIMORDIAL LOVERS at 21 that was called in Rolling Stone "one of the 25 best albums of all time." Rhino christened it the Mother Album of "grrrl power" on its limited edition release in 2000.
PRIMORDIAL LOVERS "I Have Been Here Before" inspired David Crosby to write "Deja Vu" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1YkmhQytPQ She sings SHR's "Interjections," "Sufferin' Till Suffrage," etc. Hear her amazing song "Making Time Stop" @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvLpmyeflyM
BERLIN WALL
He's the man I love
Doesn't have a dime to spend
Maybe he's my lover, maybe he's my friend
Maybe I won't find out till the Bitter End
When it's time to pay the dues
Time to read the writing on the wall
Headin' for a fall, fallin like the Berlin Wall
A man will drag you down
That's what my momma used to say
She said, "Only if you let him take away your joy
He'll use you like a rag and treat you like a toy"
Then it's time to pay the dues
Time to read the writing on the wall
Headin' for a fall, fallin' like the Berlin Wall
Fallin' like the Berlin Wall
Now it's time to pay the dues
Time to read the writing on the wall
Headin' for a fall, fallin like the Berlin Wall
Easy come easy go
Hold me close and let it flow
Let it rain, let it snow, let the sun shine
Let the four winds blow
Let the love fall, anyway at all
Fallin' like the Berlin Wall
Fallin' like the Berlin Wall

we are the lucky ones, how can we ever try to know what it was like for those living behind the berlin wall, fear for so many years , so many lives lost while trying to escape.-the day the wall came down has got to be a day in history never to forget !!!!!!!!
