@Helmuth10000 I think that it depends on the wavelength, how do the strawberries chemicals, the bacteria and fungi react to it, and also if it produces heat.

Looks at the strawberries at the end of the video......a good rinse and they're good as new. :D

Random question, does the amount of light the strawberries get, change the speed at which the strawberries decay?

@Helmuth10000 good question, unfortunately i have no idea :)
This was recorded in the dark. The only time the strawberries got light is when the flash triggered to take a picture (about once every 10 minutes)

haha if i did the project i would just throw away the plate with the stawberrys on it i would never clean that i would barf

@PEEPSaPLENTY yeah you'd think that, but when i was done recording the strawberries were completely dried out... it wasn't as gross as you would think it would be... and i still eat from that plate ;P (after i cleaned it of course :)
