Demolition Derby AZ State Fair 2008 - Kendrick

Part one of my Demo derby. I'm 00 red and black. I finished around 7 or 8 out of 45 cars. I was still running well but shredded both back tires and got stuck in the mud.

Well second time out you did real good. Gm wagons like yours need work to compete. I don't run rear bumpers. Remove the tail gate or fold it inside. Notch the frame in two spots to bend up. And add a all steel bumper to the front. I do alot more but don't have the space to explain.

We welded the bumpers and they held up perfectly..at least this time. Didn't have a problem there. We also did notch the frame but for some reason it didn't bend where we notched it. Go figure. My problem was both tires went flat from direct hits in both races. We even had tubes in them. Just unlucky hits to both.

Was this you first derby? Or have you been in many?

This was technically my second race but really my first that lasted more than a minute. Car was still running just stuck in the mud and couldn't get out.

I remove the rear bumper so it does not push the frame down. These cars are too low.
