  • @Jamman636 old - old - old post, but I'm a CST and I found this because I just started in Spine this last week, and I wanted to know exactly what was going on.

  • I am off to see Mr Krishna in 10 days, and fingers crossed he can work his magic with me and my back

  • Recovery is around 6-8 weeks

  • I watched your video as I am considering the operation. I was wondering what the niormal recovery time is for this operation?

  • I'm 18 and had a posterior lumbar interbody fusion when I was 16 to stop back pain from my broken L5 vertebrae. I went through a year of pain management until I finally had the surgery and it was amazing. I woke up the day after my 6 hour surgery and already felt better than the day before. I recommend getting a donor for the bone graph (not having hip surgery), and only doing posterior if possible. I am back to competitive swimming and can do everything pain free!

  • Mr Krishna performed this op on me 5 weeks ago. It has been a great success so far. My back, neck, and sciatica pain is all gone. Mr Krishna and his team are my heroes, they have given me my life back. If you are reading this, thank you all so very very much and see you in May for my check up :o)

  • the bone grows between the 2 vertebrae, that's why its called interbody fusion. this makes the lumbar spine stable.

  • im a radiology student and i looked this up becuase i just used the c-arm today while watching my first Plif, thank you for explaining the purpose of those cages that the bones is packed into, but I have one question. What is the purpose of the bone that is packed in the cages and at the end when finger fulls of the ground bone are pushed down into the back, i didn't get a good view, what does the bone do, grow back?
