I don't understand why you guys not understanding the real situation in Tibet, and beside many of you Chinese (not all) here in US, had also sought refuge and asylum by proving that you and your family had suffered in China... and have a fear for the life. We, Tibetan can understand your situations, as we know the truth about the system of Communist in China. We share the same things from different facets. Now, how come you are not comfort to accept the truth....

The Tibetan "temple" slash immigration halfway house that sponsors the entry of Tibetans to the United States is likely exempt from taxes as well.
That's all right though. New York's wage earning taxpayers can foot the bill.

Why on earth would these people go to China to protest? They are doing just fine collecting full New York State welfare benefits and food stamps right here.
The overtime put in by the NYPD to babysit them is paid for as well.
