For me it is expansion. There are not enough talented players to justify 30 teams in the NBA. Therefore the league is no longer elite and some basic fundamentals (e.g. mid range jumpers and pin point passing) are rarely seen in the modern game. Go back to 23/24 teams, make the NBA elite again.

It honestly should've never gone away. Today's players look like foolish wannabe gangsters because of it. I mean, knee length shorts look baggy on Yao Ming-and he's the tallest player in the NBA right now! When shorts look baggy on a guy that tall, you know it's time for a change in the uniforms. Bring back the short shorts from the Bird and Magic era. I don't give a shit if the players don't like them. If the basketball gods could deal with it, so can today's players.

The 2-3-2 format was not kind to the team with the three middle games at home for four seasons. The '90 Blazers were 0-3, the '91 Lakers 0-3, the '92 Blazers 1-2, and the '93 Bulls were 1-2!
