열차 출발 예고 신호음에는 일본 전통악기인 "코토(거문고)" 소리가 채용되고 있다.

烏丸御池駅に発着する京都市営地下鉄東西線50系電車。
ホームには転落事故防止のためのホームドアが設置されている。
発車合図音には伝統楽器である琴の音色が採用されている。

Real smart and stylish pedestrian incursion barriers. When you think how costly and disrupitve it is to deal with someone who jumps or is pushed in front of the train, these barriers suddenly sound like a cheap idea.
