Hey Pat, nice video. I hadn't seen you for a while and when I saw this, I thought I should say hello. Did you take the Margarita machine on this trip?
You guys do know how to enjoy your jeeps. Put up some more vids when you can.

@mrchilipepper45 we have made 109 km/h on the highway here in the netherlands with our jeep on the gps with an old original engine, thats almost 68 mph
it can be faster if the window was down
-
@sinkinpat The early images on the dashboard says 65 mph, they later changed that to 55 mph in high gear
-
I think I hit 55mph going downhill with the wind at my back once in mine haha. Cool video tho

wonderful vid i love all things jeep
I know that it says MAX SPEED 40 M.P.H but how fast do these things really go on pavement?

The max speed is 55 MPH. they are geared to low to go any faster. The engine is 65 HP. If an aftermarket overdrive is installed they can go 65 mph. but then that isn't stock anymore. and overdrives were not used by the military they were aftermarket. 55 is fast enough. driving a old jeep with the top down and no doors and no seatbelt on backroads you go into a different state of mind. One that doesn't need to go fast.

The max speed you see painted on the back of some tops was a military max speed as they were trying to warn other drivers that they were not going over 40 to prevent wear and tear on the jeep.

nice and nice song do you have a jeep for sale or know any body who does

Yes, I do. and the Guy in the video with the Tan MB is selling it as he has restored another jeep. The jeeps I have are prime examples for restoration, being that they are all origional.
