  • Oh yah, sorry, I got rid of A/C and P/S while I was at it, so that was worth about 70lbs, so in reality I guess I added 140 if you don't count A/C and P/S

  • I dunno, it'll be possible, with all the changes that went along with the 408 (5-spd to auto, roll bar, sub frames, axles) I only added 70lbs to my car (keep in mind aluminum heads, instead of iron) over what it weighed with the 302 and 5-spd. If I get rid of the hatch, and go with a fiber one w/ lexan glass, k-member/control arms & strange brakes in the front, poly seats, my car should drop below the 3000lbs mark, whilst keeping my full interior. Half of that is getting done this winter

  • A dude....... its hard press that the other guys stang is weighing 3000lbs with him in it ( and he weighs 190 or so!).

I just weighed my coupe today and it weigh 3080. Aftermarket K-member, springs, and a-arms, fiberglass hood that weighs less than 20 lbs. , no headliner or backseats. (DAMN NEAR GUTTED). And my car is a coupe!!!!!!!!!!. My car also has a 302 motor. I have a 351w going in soon. Add the weight of the 351 + stroker parts........ see where i'm coming from. Almost impossible.
