and not sure about the theory - that black holes create galaxies. I think it's the other way around The mass of central stars in young galaxies keep crunching down into denser and denser material, until the gravity is so great it forms a black hole.

@kratos3111 Actually, yes they can. Black holes have a gravitational force than can also cause other galaxies to orbit it. However, the gravitational force from the one at the center of our galaxy is so weak to us that we don't notice it. Hope this clears a bit up.
