While David Koechner may not be a household name, he's easily one of the most recognizable faces in comedy. The Missouri native studied at Chicago's Second City Theater, was a cast member on Saturday Night Live, has played memorable characters in classic comedies like Anchorman and Thank You for Smoking, and has a recurring role on The Office. See him live at Fairfield's Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts, Thursday, May 12, at 7:30 p.m. The show will also feature Mike Brody.

David Koechner, most recognized as Todd Packer from The Office and Champ Kind from Anchorman, has also appeared in The Goods, Austin Powers, Talladega Nights, Hannah Montana, Get Smart, and Balls of Fury. Though he would remain one of the comedy world's best-kept secrets through the latter half of the 1990s, improvisational comic-turned-actor David Koechner later made a successful transition from Saturday Night Live and Late Night With Conan O'Brien funnyman to supporting feature player roles when word of his talent spread, thanks to stellar supporting parts in many movies.

Opening the night of comedy on the Sondheim stage, Mike Brody has performed across the nation since breaking into show business. Brody may be the only comedian that was motivated by jealousy to take the stage for the first time. After seeing one of his friends perform, he wanted to prove that he was better and funnier and deserved more of the applause. And so it began.

His show has been described as a mix of intelligent humor, without being holier-than-thou; energy, without being obnoxious; and lovable dorkiness, without the pocket protector. He has opened for legendary madman/idiot/savant Wesley Willis and is the official event comedian of the Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS from SciFi Channel's Ghost Hunter. Does that sound like a normal comedian to you?
