I just saw Yuzu and the choir perform this on NHK's Red & White year end song festival and it brought tears to my eyes even though I had no idea what they were saying since I don't speak Japanese but my instincts told me it was sad but at the same time was inspirational. I thought the song may have been written after the tsunami as a tribute or something. Later I looked up the translated lyrics and found my instincts were right except that it was written before the tsunami. I LOVE THIS SONG!
