It was a year ago tomorrow that I walked into a small bar in a small town and seen the most beautiful creature I had ever seen. The bar seemed empty with only you standing there in your Beatles shirt. I couldn't see anyone or anything else. In my head we were the only two people in the bar. Wondering how I could get th...e attention of something so breath taking. I stumbled over the words to say in my head. Then with out hesitation I walked up to you and said "What's your favorite Beatle song?" You smiled back at me and replied "Oh you could never pick just one." I walked away feeling dumb. Of all the things I could have said or asked I said that? A few minute later I figured it all out in my head, what I would say to get your attention. With every bit of confidence I walked up to you and asked "Who is your favorite Beatle?" Really?? Did I just walk up to you and ask another stupid question?? You looked at me and said "Without a doubt Paul." I simply smiled and said good choice, even though I am more of a John fan. So I walked back to my table feeling stupid again and sat for a minute or two. Suddenly it hit me. I approached the Karaoke DJ and told her to put me up for a song. When it was my turn, I grabbed the mic, walked over to where you were setting and I sang with every ounce of my heart to only you. There was no denying that the sparks were instantly there. The sparkle in your eyes and shock on your face as I sang to you made me realize I was winning a beautiful heart. The look on your face was a smile from ear to ear with a hint of tears in your eyes. I knew I had just made your night. Now looking back I realize that I didn't just make your night. I made your life, who thought that two strangers from opposite sides of the track would still be as in love as the day they met, a whole year later. I love you baby and this song will always be for you. I may want to be the walrus, but here I am the egg man. Happy 1 year anniversary, love!
