Dixieland Jazz Band Singer Jane Campedelli Sings "Sailing Down The Chesapeake Bay"

Dixieland Jazz Band recording artist Jane Campedelli sings "Sailing Down the Chesapeake Bay" with her longtime bandmates "The Galvanized Dixieland Jazz Band." This performance was recorded at the 2009 Great Connecticut Jazz Festival on August 1, where folks descend once a year to hear Jane belt out tunes like this.

Jane has recorded several LP albums and released two CDs "A Hundred Years From Today" with the Heritage Jazz Band, and "A June Night" with the Galvanized Jazz Band. Songs include Coney Island Washboard, Hard Hearted Hannah, Strike Up the Band, and, I Never Miss the Sunshine among other traditional jazz favorites.

Mountain Ridge in Wallingford CT hosted this year's Great Connecticut Traditional Jazz Festival. The three day concert festival included multiple performances from these bands: The Galvanized Jazz Band (CT), The Midiri Brothers (NJ), Blue Street Jazz Band (CA), Jeff Barnhart (CT), Cornet Chop Suey (MO), and, of course, Igor's Jazz Cowboys. Preservation of this traditional American music and supporting young musicians is the goal. The 2010 Great CT Jazz Festival will be July 30 - August 1
at Mountain Ridge on High Hill Road in Wallingford.
