Thank you so much for posting this video! I am due to have this surgery next week (c5-6 level) and though seeing the process is scary, it's better to know, to brace yourself for what's to come. Deepest gratitude!

Hi S,
Lost your email addie. Did you do exercises after your surgery? Did you have headaches? Skull pain? The back of my skull hurts after walking a few minutes. Been 2 weeks tomorrow since surgery - day 14. THX!

@MyWittsend3 can you write to me at chris.sarah.darby@gmail.com
I have a .pdf file with some really good exercises. I think it's normal for you to be having the pain that you are. It's still really early days.

Just had Cervical Disc Replacement Sept 22 C6/7. I can't seem to sleep on my back without flem/mucus building up. Can't find anything written about this. I can somewhat sleep on my side. Is this a side effect? Will it go away? It keeps me up - and feels like I am going to choke.

@MyWittsend3 I'm not sure if this is a side effect. I didn't have this issue but my advice would be to monitor it and if it's still happening after a week, to speak to a doctor.

How very kind of you to put this video up, to help others in this way is truly a very human and good thing, forgive me for not being more eloquent I'm up to my eyeballs with Tramadol and other meds right now. I have one question for you which I thought I'd put here in case other people wished to ask the same question Did this op actually stop the pain once healed?
Thanks very much

@restojon1 HI there!! Thanks for your comments. This op stopped all the horrible pain I had in my shoulder and arm yes. However, people who have other issues with their necks such as a lot of wear and tear will find they are left with a bit of neck pain - I currently have this. However, the nerve pain has all gone and my arm is fine. Hope you feel better soon. Am happy to answer any other questions. Regards, Sarah
