Perhaps i missed it, but i didnt hear him talk about rewards for big random events with lots of random players joining in. Are they just completed for a large XP boost, or does it give loot? if yes then who gets the loot? :o

@Ondskemannen you get karma, karrrrrrrma. Look at all this kaarrrrrrrrrrma :p

No seriously, you geht karma, a non tradeable currency as a reward for completing varius tasks (including dynamic events) - this karma can than be exchanged for special equipment.

@jkpsimplicio Because they are - simply put - everywhere. Dynamic Events are in Guild Wars 2 what "Quests" are in common MMOs. Ordinary Quests are completely replaced by this new Dynamic Event System, which will provide the main source of "open world" PvE content (as opposed to instanced PvE content i.e. dungeons).

Bandits trying to burn the wheat field, so the PC is throwing fire at them. Something doesn't seem right about that.

@MrMeNace231 they cant because rewards are based on participation .. you only get the max rewards if participate enough to get the gold medal ..if you dont you will get silver or bronze which results in less rewards.

the afk ppl would probably get bronze which is not even worth it..

so what happens if theres someone taking advantage of the system say kill 1 bandit and just walks around/pretending to be afking while other ppl finishes the event, everyone still receives the same reward?

It doesn't sound like skyrim at all. it sounds like the classic dragon war story. Pretty common for an rpg. Divinity 2 came way before skyrim and the plot involved dragons that were supposed to be extinct (or almost extinct) and a hero who joins the dragon slayers: a group of warriors with dragon blood that have been fighting/hunting down the dragons since ancient times. Sounds familiar to you?
