But...even Jews who were in power complained about severe Muslim persecution. Maimonides himself was forced to convert and he wrote about living in terror as a Jew in the Muslim world.

But the Palestinians were allied with a more severe colonialist power, which was Nazi Germany. The Palestinian Mufti, Haj Amin, was Hotler's #1 ally, and he was asking Hitler to expedite the murder of Jews. He spend most of WWII in Germany.
