The mutant bike has mutated. This is a new front end for the old rear end. This video is showing Paul and Neil's first goes on the bike and you can see after a couple of go they get it working.
The next step is to make a new back frame, with the saddle high up over the steering head, this will make it a 'penny fake thing'

The sitting position was dictated by the riders leg length, long legs and a high seat made the riders knees hit the handle bars, so require a low seat position. <-- See second rider.

To be honest this bike is not the easiest to ride as the force on the pedals needs to be reacted using the handle bars. At certain speed the whole thing starts to get out of control and you have to stop accelerating.

What's wrong with hard anyway? Would we do this daft things if they were easy! ;-)

  • Honest. Sitting higher makes it easier to balance. Try balancing a short stick on your hand and a long stick. Which is easier?

  • @GSimpsonOAM Is my Mutant No3 high enough :-)

  • Well done. Keep mutating. Raising the centre of gravity will make it easier to balance.
