The Psychedelic Furs fue un importante grupo musical británico.
Su fundo a finales de los años 70. El núcleo del grupo lo forman desde hace años Richard Butler (n. 1956, vocalista y letrista), Tim Butler (n. 1958, bajo) y John Ashton (n. 1957, guitarra).
Aparecieron en la escena punk británica en 1977. En origen, el grupo estaba formado por Richard Butler, Tim Butler (hermano del anterior), Duncan Kilburn (saxofón) y Roger Morris (guitarra). En 1979 se añadirían Vince Ely, a la batería, y John Ashton
Sus canciones más reconocidas fueron My time, Heaven, Love my way, Ghost in you, Heartbreak beat, Highwire days, Alice´s house, etc.
La banda se separó a principios de los 90. Años más tarde los hermanos Butler fundaron el grupo Love spit love. En 2001 se reunieron de nuevo con John Ashton, efectuando ocasionalmente alguna gira.
En países como España The Psychedelic Furs es considerado grupo musical de culto.

I'm also looking for the song highwire days. What a cool song. The Psychedelic Furs were so different in a time when most other bands were selling out to remain popular. The Furs stood their ground and had very unique and cool sounds and lyrics. That is why they stood the test of time.
