This is a documentary about D&D, originally shown at Gen Con, it is very hard to find. I took the video uploaded by "SpiroLee" and consolidated them into seven installments. Enjoy.

  • When was this documentary made? All the books and stuff are out of date but it is healpfull and enjoyable to watch non-the-less.

  • this just blows my mind. I did not realize the dm did everything. the maps, the story, it's all so intricate! this is my first time truly looking into what this game is about and im absolutely astonished.

  • when i DM i don't draw out maps, i make 2 world maps, one with towns and landmarks for the players, and one with hidden locations for me. then i just remember all the dungeons i make (some elaborate ones are drawn with a computer because my handwriting is evil). or i just play by ear, that works too.

  • Ah such beautiful art work I remember it well....

  • @KorumEmrys I agree I started in the 1990's and I still thing the old school second edition stuff is the best. I had a friend who drew beautiful stuff that mated with the pre-gen adventures. RIP Bill.....

    Swords, Shields, and potions.

  • I wouldn't throw away a stone dice, honestly.
