@TheJDCooper1997 I agree. v.v my teachers try to make everything sound extra confusing so we think they are smart and gain respect for them, when in reality I'd have so much respect for them if they actually taught me how to solve a problem without me having to ask the interwebs.

Should I use the same step s to find the surface area of cylindrical grain silo with hemispherical top?

For the cylindrical grain silo with hemispherical top you would use add the lateral area of a cylinder (the rectangular part in my video) to the surface area of a hemisphere (which would be half the s.a. of a sphere). What I'm not sure of is if you should include one circle for the base, that would depend on the given information in the problem you are solving. If the base of the silo is just going to be dirt, and you want to know how much material is needed to build the silo, then no.
