sorry , but earlier on this song was one of the most powerful ever written , sadly many later performances of theirs were trainwrecks.

Whoever they are (or were) that ain't the Airplane. Obviously.
They chose an interesting, laid-back tempo which pulls all the tension out of the song. More locking how the Shocking Blue would have done it.
