The race around the barrels continues with new racers and fresh horses. It's amazing that the horses don't have their legs slide out from under them in the turns around the barrels. Very fast 16 - 18 seconds of barrel racing. These cowgirls are amazing!

  • THAT LOOKS SOOO FUN!!! i wanna start barrel racing sometime in the future but right now im gonna stick to western pleasure

  • @caitlynjenna1234 against a REAL barrel horse? I used 2 ride pleasure and those horses are way 2 big to barrel race, or well anyway

  • @animalLuverify i have.

  • @livelaughlove79318 i just started and i LOVE it! I hve heard that back cinches help keep the saddle down around turns, the breastcollar helps, definately LEG PROTECTION for your horse's legs, maybe a tie down for your horse and the bit depends on how your horse reacts. Don't ride barrels with split reins, get one piece reins with soem sort of grip and make sure to bring a cooler for your horse after if it is kinda cold (: have fun and good luck!

  • @caitlynjenna1234 then why don't you try it for yourself if your horse is so fast?

  • my PLEASURE HORSE is faster than most of these horses!!!!!!

  • @jesterstopgun Thanks, but I ended up investing the money that would have been used for barrel racing to get a better trainer and go to a 5 day eventing clinic. I even dropped my hunter couch and all I do now is eventing. BUT if I ever get the chance to go do it again I definately will.

  • @livelaughlove79318 It's different balancee wise. I do both barrels and showjumping. But, it is worth the time to learn more discaplines. It makes you a better rider and your horse better too.
