I demand nothing, but I want it all
what privilege do we have under the sun,
that gives us the right to the throne?

species come and go, but the earth stands forever fast
all river runs towards the sea, but the sea is never full

to discover the loneliness and be too proud to show the wounds
will forever wander alone through the years

but I won't let you near
begging for you to understand
the fear that lives in my soul
which is an untouched spring

read, what is written on the silent mouth
what is written in the soul
for which is written in the shining silence
we all have to read (x2)

(music)

my body will be bent from the burdens
when the shaking floor of life-force
reveal its chasm underneath
if only one could be two steps ahead

to discover the loneliness and be too proud to show the wounds
will forever wander alone through the years

but I won't let you near
begging for you to understand
the fear that lives in my soul
which is an untouched spring

read, what is written on the silent mouth
what is written in the soul
for which is written in the shining silence
we all have to read (x2)

  • I fucking hate growl but these motherfuckers are awesome!

  • if this song was a medicine it would cure cancer and aids because of the shear fucking awesomeness that embody the invisible is xD

  • @jdnoidea I do miss the old Nickelback though. Silver side up was pretty kick ass. I

  • @revengeofbutthead That's why it sounded so familiar. I couldn't figure out where I first heard it.

  • @ThatRandomGuy7787 Haha, true! Nickelback's music is very basic, they use the same few chord variations in all their songs. And that's why kids worship them, because nickelback are pop-rock and their music is easy to undertsnad, like pop music. Basic music with retarded lyrics. lol

However, inflames - I could listen to and enjoy their music even without vocals, because the riffs are killer, very melodic, and the solos are amazing aswell. I also like how they sometimes use keyboards and effects.

  • i skiped fred

  • @nmontague5 are you kidding me? bands like metallica haven't changed a bit!! have you heard lulu? sounds exactly the same as kill 'em all or master of puppets!!

  • @jdnoidea No kidding love instrumentals too im not focused really to much on the lyrics unless its music like this with an underlying message. I understand how hard it is to write music for the instruments but most bands dont write impressive instrumentals unless they are metal. Look at nickelback those guys are terrible, the instruement playing sucks and the lyrics are god awful.

  • @ThatRandomGuy7787 Listen to the music aswell pal, not just the lyrics.

Writing music for an album (guitars, bass, sometimes keyboards and to the right drumbeats) takes a lot more time, effort and talent than writing lyrics.

Thats why I mainly listen to instrumental music, ha ha! Too many people are obsessed with vocals and frontmans these days, and they forget that there are other 4 or 5 members who are actually doing the difficult bit. Vocalists are overrated in bands.

  • Bothers me when people knock new In Flames albums...or any band thats been around for a while for that matter. Bands that put out rock solid material like this will never keep playing the exact same shit...get over it.
