This video shows how to remove a fork from a bicycle that has a threaded headset. This tutorial includes my trick for unseizing the stem from the fork.

This video covers how to clean and rebuild the headset with new grease on the bearing surfaces. I also demonstrate how to switch the fork with a differnt one.

Please let me know in the comment section if you have any questions, I always do my best to answer them ASAP.

Thanks for watching!

  • take your fucking time getting to the point

  • great video but you forgot to switch the crown race which is unique to every different model and brand of headset. this will wear out your headset much faster

  • excellent demo, just what I needed. Thanks a mill

  • good vid worse forks :p

  • I own and have worked on top of the line mountain and road bikes with threadless stems. I had no clue how an older threaded stem worked. Very clear, concise video. Wow in a good way.
