DarkXL - GPU Accelerated Dark Forces: Secret Base

Me playing a remake of sorts of the classic FPS Dark Forces by Lucius from the DF-21 forums. This is the only level playable till the next big build release. If you plan on trying this out you need the original Dark Forces since this is like a source port.

If you want a DF Remake with 3D graphics, Then try playing Dark Forces Mod for Jedi Outcast or Academy.

@mario19885 I have, in fact I have a couple videos of it. Besides when this project is done I can see people porting those models to this, since when its completed it will have .md3 support.

@MountainFox51 Yes, there are differences. As of the latest Alpha build as I have posted this, DarkXL allows for button configuration, although the secondary fire button is stuck on "R", better graphics, a green reticule of your choice of shape, and the ability to use mouse look. No longer will you have to use PgUp and PgDn.

Unfortunately, DarkXL lacks two things that the original has: Super Bullet Shield and Completion symbols beside the level names. Other than that, I prefer DarkXL.

i have dark forces, but i cant get the installer to work on my 64 bit windows 7. Any ideas? to play it i use dos box, then again i had to download the full game from the internet. I also tried copying some of the files directly from the DARK CD but it doesnt work either, and XL doesnt seem to work on the downloaded version of the game. help

@Aphradonis You can try but I wouldn't know if it supports multiple monitors for that resolution.
