Three Caballeros - Saludos Amigos

How many callbacks to the previous movie are there? I count threee, there could be more though.

On a related note, my capture card is still broken. I'm too busy right now, so I can't try and fix it until sometime in the summer.

Like how "Joe Carioca represented Brazil and Panchito represented Mexico", another bird character was suppose to represent Cuba. The name of the Cuban Bird is not yet known. On the other hand, he liked Jose and Panchito fused together. One model of the Cuban Bird had him next to Donald, Jose, and Panchito for how tall he was. Of course he smaller than the other three, but I don't know if this suggest that he could've been a FOURTH Caballero.

Disney had plans for a third latin feature that was suppose to follow "The Three Caballeros." The film was suppose to called "Cuban Carnival." The project got canceled by the failure of "The Three Caballeros" at the box office. Another reason was that World War II came to an end in 1945, when it was in development.

"Cuban Carnival" was suppose to be a live action with animation film.

The first referamce is where they are playing the saludos amigos song while donald is opening his presents, the second referance is joses outburst of portugese ( i think ), and the last one is the way jose is dancing.
