BULLSHIT. People come here because they like COMBAT, and boxing is one facet of that. So what Boxing is overhyped and MMA fighters are pimped. Nick Diaz beat Paul Daley - a pure striker, and KNOCKED HIM OUT. Even though, he could have wrestled or grappled. MMA boxing is harder than pure boxing b/c in MMA you have to defend against knees, elbows, and take-downs. Put any boxer in the cage and they will look like a fish outta water.

and there is no Boxing Vs. MMA.... you can see world class BJJ and Judo in MMA... but you don't EVER see and likely WILL NEVER SEE, world class BOXING skill in MMA... so Boxing will ALWAYS have it's niche in the martial arts ranks. as a purest sport, with some of the best conditioned toughest 12 rounds of guts athletes on the planet.

@Mr9mm4u actually BJ Penn has good boxing... Floyd Sr trained him.... and MMA and Boxing are different.... but you know what else ? Judo and MMA are different... wrestling and MMA are different, Muay Thai and MMA are different, and BJJ and MMA are different... etc etc. Fact is, most MMAers don't have the level of mastery in skills like Boxing or Wrestling to be at those top levels in those arts. And boxers make more money and they stand and deliver, no rolling around and kicking. Get over it.

haha, he had "no respect" for Berto in the ring, and escaped unscathed... but he get's in the ring 164... 14 pounds heavier than Floyd, and gets backed up most of the night... and frustrated into fouling the whole bout (which has come on to have been premeditated) and left in a matter of 4 rounds with a calloused swelling under his right eye, and all off at year and a half layoff... haha, Floyd's a decent fighter isn't he.
