  • The "now" part of the video is indeed 1938 tube stock, but the trains may have been built later than that. The earlier film is of standard tube stock built in the 1920s.

  • nice video,I used to work on LT and remember the 1938 Stock when I was a Booking Clerk at Morden in 1970,Thanks.

  • Units 6,7, & 8 are made up of 1938 stock cars that were originally owned (on paper at least) by the LNER. The LNER owned 289 1938 stock cars and they did not pass to London Transport ownership until 1948 even though they worked on LT metals and were maintained by LT.
