  • The Earth looks smaller than the moon here because thes films were taken from lunar orbit, Einstein, quarter of a million miles from the Earth.

  • @dasgroovey that was what I was thinking. The earth is bigger than the moon but from this footage it appears the same size as the moon seen from earth.

    But it could be we are misinterpreting the scaling from the limited camera's point of view.
