Team from DDS Media seem to have upstaged the southbound Clem Jones Tunnel opening by entering the tunnel from the ICB southbound exit (adjacent to the QNP/Courier-Mail/The Australian building).
If it can be verified as correct, their actions and the filming of such a scoop again highlights the challenges the traditional media has being agile and immediate enough to remain the leader of the news cycle. The intrinsic levelling benefits of the internet and the rise in easily accessible technology has been used to great effect by DDS Media and we thank them for this platinum piece of vision.
As the original file was on Vimeo, I decided to upload it to YT to show to a wider audience. I am in no way connected with DDS Media, but thank them for their efforts. Have a look at their website www.ddsmedia.com.au
Personally, having enjoyed the benefits of road tunnels on innumerable interstate trips, I found the Clem7 opening hype to be a little passé. This is understandable considering most Queenslanders rarely travel outside their own state to build a sense of context. I say this a Queenslander with ancestors here since 1855, keen to bring more of the state out of the 'mushroom state' mentality (kept in the dark and fed...)
