everyone is responsible for their own safety..just because the law allows you to do something unsafe, doesn't mean you have to do it. I for one am not going to argue with a moving car while I cross the road, despite the fact that you are right, and I would have right of way
-
@hatingtherich If you go back and check the record you'll note I was responding to a post by dro91t in which he said that one cannot cross at a zebra crossing unless it is safe to do so: this is incorrect. It may not be wise to cross at a pedestrian crossings without checking, what with dickheads and drop-kicks behind the wheels of vehicles; but technically under the law the driver and dro91t are wrong. To assume the onus is on the pedestrian is incorrect: the responsibility is with the driver.

@euphemus2 lol oh I'm well and truely grown mate. You can't rely on rules and other people's intelligence to keep YOU safe. You have to look out for yourself..so if you see a dangerous situation where you actually have right of way (like crossing a pedestrian crossing in front of a car that obviously isn't stopping) you don't say "I have right of way, I'm going anyway"..thats just dumb.

@hatingtherich Not being reckless with motor vehicles; cooperating with society by following the road rules; being respectful to others and mindful of their safety; mastering the rage of your hormones - all common sense too. It's called "growing up".

@euphemus2 It doesn't really matter mate, if you have right of way, but its not safe..then you don't go. It's called common sense

LOL About you saying Famer joes boy in gunadah.
This ad was filmed in a shit suburb in NSW's Second biggest city.
I drive on these roads all the tine for work. One day I hope to drift the work car around the corner and try beat the VL's style

@dro91t WRONG! A pedestrain has right-of-way - a driver has the obligation to stop in time.
Drivers at pedestrian crossings must:
- Not approach pedestrian crossing too quickly to stop safely
- Give way to pedestrian on pedestrian crossing - Road Rules 2008 Rule 81 (1&2)
Pedestrians: Part 14, 230, Crossing a road – general
1 A pedestrian crossing a road:
(a) must cross by the shortest safe route, and
(b) must not stay on the road longer than necessary to cross the road safely

@markarse21 are u serious, you actually think there is something called the anti discrimination act... Haha
-
no, the ad tries to target d**khead attitudes towards driving. It is pretty corny though.
