Hakan Ehn plays Hohner Marine Band Crossover harmonica in the key of A.
0:22: Santa's ice cool blues theme.
1:05: From the old jazz tune "Pink Champagne". The first version I heard was when I heard Roomful Of Blues play it live 1986. I don't know how this big band from USA happened to play in my little town in Sweden. I just enjoyed the music. Curtis Salgado, vocals and harmonica. I don't remember if Ronnie Earl played that night.
1:48: Fast blues boogie theme.
2:10: Louis Jordan's recording of "Caldonia" from 1945 is smokin' hot.
2:53: Paul Jones, harmonica player in the British band "The Blues Band" plays this solo in their version of "Twenty Nine Ways" (Willie Dixon) on their album Ready. But he plays it twenty nine times faster!
3:15: Santa is playing in the high register starting with overdraw in hole 10.
3:36: Main theme from the tune "Back at the Chicken Shack" (Jimmie Smith). I saw Carlos del Junco playing this tune at a blues festival in Sweden 2007. He invited a young Swedish harmonica player Filip Jers to play with him. Very nice harmonica playing from both of them!
4:20: We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Here I play my harmonica in 12th position which means the music is in D (the rest of the song I play the harmonica in 2nd position, music is in the key of E).
