My 2 cents about what happened after watching the video.

  • ...I appreciate all that you said...you sound very intelligent and insightful...

  • But you're right...his over reacting also speaks to how destructive and hurtful that word is. okay, i'm done with my long rant.....lol :)

  • based on their facial expressions and body language. If someone's gonna call someone a derogatory name, I don't think they're gonna do so in a polite or timid way. Honestly, I think this situation was a "misplaced anger" and unfortunately the elderly man was an easy target. I mean, seriously, to start yelling at an old person like that in almost any society, you gotta have some serious mental or insecurity issues. In many places that's the equivalent of someone who would attack a child....

  • To tell you the truth, I watched the video multiple times and something just seemed really odd to me. I also heard he was a teacher, and if he was, how could he have never heard Ni-ga before????? Also, if that old man was gonna call him the N-word, I don't think he would do so with polite mannerisms. I don't know if this makes sense, but if you're interacting with someone, even if you two don't speak the same language, as humans we should at the least be able to read people's emotions......

  • "Ni-ga" means "you" in Korean. Though the dude got upset cuz he thought he heard the "N" word, he should know that most Koreans in Korea dont know what "Nigga or Nigger" is. Especially an old man. They don't know what "Cracka" is either lol.

  • Very good video, my brotha. Too bad some people have a very limited attention-span so thus they don't see your entire video of honesty and logic.

Also...I agree with your video. That brotha was out-of-line. He brought his thugged-out reactions to South Korea with a nation full of High Context culture.

  • That's right. You're smart. And you're pretty eyebrows.

  • too long dude...no way I'm giving up 14 mins.

  • This is the first time I was nodding watching the videos in youtube. I 100% agree with you and to me, it was shocking and painful watching the video. Not for the elderly ppl, but for the man. Anyway, actually, many ppl don't know what N word means because... we did not learn the word at school! When we think about black ppl, we imagine hip hop, supermodel, washingtone DC, obama, yale..whatsoever related to America. His reaction was too much but.. hope both of them could heal soon.
