  • Once you said no Component and no HDMI I shut off your video... Great review though... Thanks for posting it...

  • @sinsagoodmansbrother You're very welcome. If they had HDMI input it would have been a HUGE game changer.

  • Hey, SONY, Would it have cost THAT much to put an S-Video input on the unit? Every other portable sony dig. recorder (& the entire Hi-8 portable recording unit line) had them. I don't understand why the regular port. DVD recorder and now the blu ray unit do not. One would think that at DOUBLE the price of reg. DVD, this unit would've at LEAST had an S-Video input. I will not be buying it. Thanks for all the great videos, moophoto, keep up the good work!

  • @LerfaMu1 Thanks. I agree, it seems like they just want to cheapen it out and cut corners. I hope they're listening when they're designing the VBD-MA2...

  • Thanks, great review, very useful.

  • @SOLHOUSE80 I got a USA model, we use NTSC here.

  • PAL? OR NSTC?

  • @octoman511 Yes, you need to provide your own software to do so though.

  • @DBSpy1 They are removing features people aren't using much. Luckily some of Sony's other models have S-VHS.

  • No S-VHS?,not good.

  • Just wanted to point out that its now on sale for $200 this holiday. May be temporary price drop so if you want one, now is the time. Link in the video description. Happy Holidays!
