hi acw71000....... hi r u ,,,, u r rigth about some engines , 71000 was in upperby riund-house for about 8 months , i took it to crewe north 5A one saturday moring lifth engine , now she good one ... i am 69 now geting old hhahaha , take care

70013 was a very bad enging in the steam days she was upperby 12B i could not get it steam out crewe one saturday with 13 on ,,,, 70000 too was not a good one

i was on a black 5 5371 and we pulled 70013 and 14 on from carlisle to crewe i got 70013 back to carlisle we stoped 5 times for a blow-up ....70022 29 were good engings

Wish I'd been able to capture that run on film with 14 on. Strange isn't it how some engines were better steamers than others
