Sounds like a lion tearing down the road!

@nevermindthedog The stingray made its debut in 63, making the most truly sinister stingray's 63-67 models. Everything after looked the same and began to decline in power immensely.

@Onyasix You are correct. My bad. Should have known better. Interesting how they dropped it and then decided to resurrect it with the two words in 69. As far as I am concerned, they should have left it gone after 67.

@fbenenati In '68 (the first year run of the C3s) Corvette dropped the Sting Ray badge. It was the next year, 1969 when the "Stringray" badge was introduced. There were no "Sting Rays" nor "Stingrays" in 1968.

I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!

@nevermindthedog The two words "Sting Ray" applied only to the "midyears" (63-67). Chevy changed the designation to one word "Singray" for the years 68 to about 76. After that, the nickname disappeared.

The Vette has a crate Chevy zz572 Big Block in it. As far as we know it is the stock cam, but we did not install the engine that is currently in it. You can probably get the cam and other specs from the Chevy website.

is the splint window design on the '65s ???

This is a '66 Vette. It is not a split window. Split windows ended with the 63 model. 64, 65, 66 had full rear windows (like this one in the vid).
