Claudine Auger's last name was really Oger. Don't know why she changed it. She was second place in the 1958 Miss World pageant, like Daniela Bianchi in the 1960 Miss Universe pageant. Then again, she was a teenager back then before she developed into the bosomy bomshell that she was in Thunderball. She had a prolific career in Europe but publicly kept a low profile.

Because when its pronounced "Auger" it sounds good. If sh had left it as Oger, then the english speaking world would say it like "Ogre" Not a pretty description.
