Really simple: .5 c aloe vera juice, 2 Tb oil + coconut oil

@MsChicoro Thank you so much! That really means a lot coming from you. I have since come to the conclusion that my natural hair is really not a huge fan of coconut or camellia seed oils anymore. It loved it while I was transitioning but doesn't seem to respond as well. I thought it was the AVJ but a lot of my favorite products list that first in the ingredient list so I plan to try this again with different oils - perhaps with olive or jojoba in place of coconut. Thanks again for this method!

Your coconut oil IS food grade. This is exactly what I use. Using the color applicator is a great idea. Yes, it is better to do on dry. This is what I suggested.
Everything doesn't work for everyone. It was nice of you to try it and give your honest opinion about your results. No matter what, your hair is very pretty, moist and healthy looking. You do a great job with the care of your hair.
