@SilverDoe6 Actually, since it's a folk song the origins aren't known. The earliest known record of it is from around 1930.

Luckily, Uselesslass, I save everything. I picked this up in the 50's from a large album called "Folk Song and Minstralsy" that was put out by the "Book of the Month Club". Has some amazing stuff on it. Bless vinyl, can't be beat. C.
