Well, I was planning on going to sleep early on the last day of my 'on the road' trip, so I decided to set everything up and leave it go... About 5 minutes into the "sleep", this raccoon showed up! Very cool too, especially if you consider what happened later that night... (look at the "Fun" with Motion Sensors clip) This clip *also* has very nice natural sounds of the Raccoon sniffing around!

  • can raccoons be kept as pets if they are somehow bred captive?

  • It's possible, but it depends where you're living - it's legal in some areas, and illegal in other areas. I've always wanted a pet raccoon too - :) I've heard they can be quite destructive though, and they can get very tempramental - do a Google search for "Remo Raccoon" - that's one of the best resources about pet raccoons that I know of.

  • I had 10 raccoons at my front deck a few days ago.....they love peanuts!

  • That's so cool - I *love* raccoons! I wish we just had *one* here! - I shot all of my raccoon videos on vacation... You're so lucky to have so many!

  • Raccoons are my FAVORITE animals ever! Unfortunately there are only a few in my city and I have yet to see one and pprecite it's beauty live. T_T Still hoping to see one soon though. Ciao for now.

  • They're one of mine too! - This raccoon that kept coming to this particular BFP setup was my first ever! - I don't have them in this area either, so I was really fortunate to be able to see and tape it! I'd really like to see raccoons here too, but I think that's probably a pipe dream...

  • I think this raccoon is the older of the 2 that visited. OK, cool! I wish I still had the raccoons around to feed, but I shot these videos on vacation... I'll try that out next time I (hopefully) get a chance to feed raccoons again, which won't be for at least 5 months or so. I've actually tried dog food at home, which gulls seem to love, but all I get interested at home are feral cats - strange, isn't it...?

  • They just look so innocent, don't they... "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful... and because I'm stealing all of the food - GIMME!"
