Burning of Washington happened in 1812.
A counter attack was launched by the British in Canada directed at Washinton to cause political devestation. This was also revenge for USA burning and looting a region in Canada.
This resulted in the United States' first White House being burned down. It was a war the USA declared and lost. We call it the White House because it was painted over white.
Look it up. It was skipped in this video.
